The hike is of intermediate level with almost 100 m of altitude difference. In all, the hike is 10 km long in a linear way. The hike is recommended for people over 12 years old. A guide from Sentiers de l’Estrie, trained in first aid and equipped with a kit, will accompany each departure. Depending on how fast you walk and how much time you spend at rest areas, the activity could last anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. Participants are free to do the hike at their own pace, with or without a guide.

There is available parking at Isabelle Brasseur park (370, rue du Moulin, Kingsbury) as well as at the community centre (430, rue Principale, Kingsbury). Parking is free. When you get there, go to the registration table to confirm your presence. It is recommended to arrive 30 minutes before your departure time. You don’t have to print your ticket. You can show it on your cell phone screen.

The first gourmet stop is located as soon as you arrive at the Isabelle Brasseur park. Food will be offered at the first stop before you leave for the hike. Therefore, we recommend you don’t eat too much at home before arriving. The second gourmet stop is located 4 km after departure. Then, you’ll arrive at the third stop at the 7th km. Finally, the last stop is at the Marché champêtre de Melbourne at the 10th km. Once you’re done, shuttle service will take you back to your car. Note that water and bathrooms are available at each stop.

You should wear sneakers or closed walking shoes, and bring a bottle of water. Water supply points will be available during the hike. You should also be adequately dressed (hat, comfortable clothes, backpack, etc.). Sunscreen, bug repellent and allergy medication are recommended.  A guide from Sentiers de l’Estrie, trained in first aid and equipped with a kit, will accompany each departure. You should also bring cash and a bag if you want to buy products at the end of the hike at the Marché champêtre de Melbourne.

Since the hike is quite long and because of the level of difficulty, we do not recommend children under 12.
